Side A: Ol' Man River (from the musical "Show Boat")
This is a legendary musical lyric written by Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II. The number on the label (DLA 253) is originally a matrix number from the recording. Bing Crosby recorded this version with Victor Young and his orchestra in November 1935.
Side B: Begin the Beguine One of Cole Porter's most famous songs. The matrix number L 3411 indicates that this side was recorded somewhat later, in May 1944, with John Scott Trotter and his orchestra.
The record company Decca combined two of the artist's previously successful tracks on one record to re-sell them in the late 1940s or early 1950s.
Size: 10 inches (approx. 25 centimeters)
